I did it as a favor to a friend. No idea yet what WB’s reaction to it was. And I’m not sure how you can contact WB to push them to make it. But you guys are resourceful…! ”

Born of Hope is an independent feature film inspired by the Lord of the Rings and produced by Actors at Work Productions in the UK.

A scattered people, the descendents of storied sea kings of the ancient West, struggle to survive in a lonely wilderness as a dark force relentlessly bends its will toward their destruction. Yet amidst these valiant, desperate people, hope remains. A royal house endures unbroken from father to son.

This 70 minute original drama is set in the time before the War of the Ring and tells the story of the Dúnedain, the Rangers of the North, before the return of the King. Inspired by only a couple of paragraphs written by Tolkien in the appendices of the Lord of the Rings we follow Arathorn and Gilraen, the parents of Aragorn, from their first meeting through a turbulent time in their people’s history.

Funny Little Bunnies – Silly Symphony

We see bunny rabbits preparing for Easter, by making chocolate eggs and rabbits, decorating eggs, and weaving and filling baskets.

Funny Little Bunnies is a very sweet, charming, whimsical and funny silly symphony, and a true easter treat. It is noticeably shorter than other silly symphonies, but that is not a criticism by any means. The animation is beautiful, with lovely pastoral colours, lots of blue and green shades and that was wonderful to see. The rabbit characters were adorable, then again, I love anything to do with rabbits. The music is also fantastic as expected with silly symphonies, if you do forgive the rather weak singing. The story, like the characters was very cute, and well told.
